The APGO Mission
The Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics promotes excellence in women's health care by providing optimal resources and support to educators who inspire, instruct, develop and empower women's health care providers of tomorrow. APGO has achieved this growth through the vision of its dedicated leadership - the APGO Board - as well as its loyal and growing membership.
APGO Board of Directors
The APGO Board of Directors provides direction for member activities and services of APGO. Officers are elected annually from APGO members in good standing.
Endowment Recognition
APGO is grateful to the many corporations who offer endowment support to show their commitment to excellence in women's health care education.
Founder's Society
The APGO Founder's Society recognizes the generosity of those who have pledged to remember APGO in their estate plans.
APGO Awards
Over the years, APGO endowment award programs have played a major role in the advancement of health care for women.
APGO Medical Education Foundation
The APGO Medical Education Foundation (MEF) was established in December of 1985 to be the fund-raising arm of the Association. It was dissolved in 2007, and all its programs and projects, as well as endowment funds, were assumed under APGO.
The MEF's original financial goal of $2.5 million was reached in 1991 and, when assumed, had $6 million in assets. The vitality of APGO's programs and initiatives is directly attributable to the generous and ongoing financial support of corporate, individual and Foundation contributors.
