APGO Undergraduate Web-Based Interactive Self-Examination (uWISE)

Welcome to uWise.
The APGO Undergraduate Web-Based Interactive Self-Evaluation.

The uWise system is currently down for service. Due to inclement weather in the DC region, repair is taking much longer than we anticipated. We appreciate your patience. (February 9, 2010)

Please note: uWISE is copyrighted. As such, the uWISE questions and/or quizzes may not be printed, copied, altered or utilized in any way other than in their present online format.

This 529-question interactive self-exam helps medical students acquire the necessary basic knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology, regardless of future medical specialty choice.

This is achieved through self-assessment, using the uWISE clinical vignettes, with multiple-choice questions and five (5) possible answers with immediate explanation and feedback. Some questions are enhanced with images to augment the learning process.

uWise is also an excellent tool to prepare for the NBME ob-gyn subject exam and national licensure examinations. In addition, reports on your students' performance and comparisons to the national means will be sent to you twice a year, in January and June. Click here to access a sample report.

uWise questions are based on, and linked to, the 8th edition of the APGO Medical Student Educational Objectives. Each quiz represents one APGO Objective and contains 10 questions for each Objective (except for Objectives 57 and 58).

4. Practice questions prior to Step II USMLE CK exam
5. Increase knowledge base through feedback provided

Faculty, including clerkship directors
6. Become more familiar with the APGO Objectives
7. Use clinical vignettes for discussion at didactic sessions
8. Identify weak areas in the curriculum, by topic
9. Compare performance among students and national mean, by topic.
