APGO Faculty Development Seminar

The highly acclaimed APGO Faculty Development Seminar, held each January, offers outstanding plenary and breakout sessions that equip faculty members with innovative educational tools to enhance their teaching techniques.  This well-attended and interactive conference is focused on creating the optimal environment for educators and learners; tools, techniques and resources that may be used in student and resident education. 

The APGO School for Clerkship Directors basic course will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010.  This course provides Clerkship Directors with the basic tools they need in this very important role.

Hotel Room Reservation Information: Please identify yourself as a participant of the APGO Faculty Development Seminar.  A limited number of rooms are available on a first come first served basis three days prior and three days post the meeting dates of January 16-19, 2010.  Please make your hotel reservations early to ensure getting a room in our block.  The hotel cut off date is December 8, 2009. The APGO room rate is $239.  The hotel has a one night cancellation policy if rooms are cancelled within 30 days of the conference.

The Fairmont offers a complimentary Kid's Club program or Teen Hang-out. Kids club is for children 5 to 12 years of age. Children will enjoy learning, exploring and participating in a variety of organized events including scavenger hunts, games, books, movies, swimming, and lagoon fishing.  The Teen Hang-out is for teenagers 13 to 17 and offers all a variety of games and DVDs.

APGO Has Gone Green
APGO has gone green for all future meetings. In an effort to be more environmentally focused, the meeting syllabus is distributed on a flash drive, and other "green" plans have been implemented. The syllabus contains the meeting schedules, speaker information, abstract details and workshop information.
