The region is noted as a growth area with a strong economy and center for cultural arts and commerce in the southeastern U.S. Residents rotate at Grady Memorial Hospital, Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, The Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Piedmont Hospital.
