COVID-19 Resources for Clerkship Directors and Students

APGO has created a page to provide a central resource for information and links to APGO resources that may be helpful during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Follow Us

As the new school year gets underway, things look very different from last year. APGO has created a page on apgo.org to serve as a central source for information and distance learning resources that may be helpful to medical students and clerkship directors during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Here are just a few of the COVID-19 resources for medical students and clerkship directors that you’ll find at apgo.org:

▪️*New* uWISE COVID-19 Supplemental Quiz for use by students - this 10-question quiz will assess basic knowledge in physiology of pregnancy, PPE, public health and more. It is accessible free of charge for a limited time.

▪️*New* Health Systems Science Teaching Modules - developed by a team from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with the support of an educational grant from the 2018 APGO Medical Education Endowment Fund Grant Program

▪️Two-Week Ob-Gyn Clerkship Remote Learning Plan - aligns APGO resources with the APGO Medical Student Educational Objectives such as the APGO Basic Science videos, uWISE quizzes and more. APGO has created webpages that follow this plan for direct access by students.

Coming Soon: the NEW Medical Student Objectives Curriculum Builder!

The new Medical Student Educational Objectives Curriculum Builder is currently under construction and will enable APGO member-faculty to search and build a customized list of intended learning objectives for the ob-gyn curriculum.

The Curriculum Builder was first launched in 2014 in response to a member need for customizable curriculum that fits the unique needs of their schools and learners. The new Curriculum Builder will be mapped to the 11th Edition of the APGO Medical Student Educational Objectives launched in January of this year.

When building a customized curriculum, faculty will have the option to enter various search criteria, including instructional and assessment methods, EPAs, HSS topics and ACGME competencies. The Curriculum Builder will also generate a downloadable report for use at institutions.

The new Curriculum Builder will launch in the coming weeks. Look for a launch announcement in a future edition of the APGO Ob-Gyn Educator newsletter!
