Industry Relations Policy

Many types of interactions with industry occur on a daily basis in the medical field. These interactions are not only necessary to ensure the safe and effective practice of medical therapies, but also to facilitate exposure to innovations for continuous improvement of women’s health care.

To preserve the existence of regular two-way communication between medicine and industry, APGO has defined a new policy on ethical and responsible interactions with industry, along with corresponding suggested guidelines.

We recommend that this policy serve as a guideline to teaching institutions with no current policy in place. We also encourage teaching institutions with very stringent policies to revisit this subject and adopt a position similar to this one.

Questions about this policy should be directed to the APGO Office by clicking on this link or by calling (410) 451-9560.
