All APGO printed and electronic resources are copyrighted, including, but not limited to:

  • Monographs and modules in the APGO Educational Series on Women’s Health Issues
  • APGO Medical Student Educational Objectives
  • Career Development in Academic Medicine: Your Journey to Success
  • APGO Basic Skills Clinical Curriculum
  • APGO Undergraduate Web-Based Interactive Self-Evaluation (uWISE) and PrepforRes on-line testing programs
  • APGO Effective Preceptor Series and Companion Videos
  • APGO Case Based Curriculum for Milestone 1
  • APGO Basic Science Videos and Teaching Scripts
  • APGO Effective Student Advising Series

APGO resources may be purchased individually and used for teaching/learning purposes, but may not be retyped, altered or otherwise manipulated in any way.

APGO’s copyright policy does not allow for the posting of any of our online resources on outside websites.* The information discussed in the APGO materials changes regularly as new research is done and new techniques are developed. The only way to ensure that you are using the most up to date information and that the information has not been improperly altered is to access the materials directly from the APGO website. APGO also tracks the usage of these materials through the statistics that are produced when individuals access them online. Students have free access to these documents through the APGO website so you may direct students at your institution to the APGO website for the use of these materials.

Before beginning any projects or papers using APGO copyrighted materials or resources, please contact the APGO office in advance for permission in writing to apgoadmin@apgo.org. APGO must be acknowledged in the project/paper, and the materials must be presented as they are and not changed in any way. If you wish to change the APGO materials for your project or paper APGO’s advanced permission to do so must be obtained.

APGO Educational Series on Women’s Health Issues:

  1. Figures and charts associated with the APGO Educational Series on Women’s Health Series may not be reprinted without written permission.

*APGO Medical Student Educational Objectives:

  1. Faculty/residents/students/institutions may print the PDF for personal and general student use. The PDF may be photocopied for teaching purposes, but may not be retyped, altered or otherwise manipulated in any way. APGO must be acknowledged in all photocopied material.
  2. The online PDF of the Objectives may be printed out, copied and utilized as is, but may not be retyped, altered or otherwise manipulated in any way. APGO must be acknowledged in all photocopied material.
  3. The online fillable PDF of the Objectives may be printed out, copied and utilized as is, but may not be retyped, altered or otherwise manipulated in any APGO must be acknowledged in all photocopied material.
  4. The online PDF Teaching Cases may be printed out, copied and utilized as is, but may not be retyped, altered or otherwise manipulated in any APGO must be acknowledged in all photocopied material.
  5. Medical institutions may at their own risk use the APGO Medical Student Educational Objectives and companion teaching cases and may copy them in whole or in part to their official online learning platform. By copying the APGO Medical Student Educational Objectives the medical institution acknowledges that (1) the APGO Medical Student Educational Objectives are owned by APGO and they are receiving only a nonexclusive license that may be revoked at any time at APGO’s sole discretion (2) it is their responsibility to regularly check the APGO website for any updates to the APGO Medical Student Educational Objectives and to make any corresponding changes to their content to remain consistent with the APGO Medical Student Educational Objectives and (3) APGO is not responsible for the contents use or ensuring that the content copied onto the medical institution’s learning platform is up to date.
  6. The online Videos of the Objectives may be utilized as is, and must not be copied or posted on other websites.

  1. The uWISE quizzes may not be used to create specialized tests within an institution. The uWISE questions and/or quizzes may not be printed, copied, altered or utilized in any way other than in their present online format.

APGO Preparation for Residency Knowledge Assessment Tool (PrepforRes)

  1. The PrepforRes assessment may not be used to create specialized tests within an institution. The PrepforRes questions may not be printed, copied, altered or utilized in any way other than in their present online format.
